This adorable ghostly rubber duck is ready to haunt your bathroom this Halloween! Just like the other floating ghost pets, this spooky little duck appears to hover magically in mid-air. The illusion is created by a small  chain connected to a bathtub plug at the base – a fun nod to the duck’s aquatic origins. The clever design makes it look as if the ghost duck is gliding above the plug, forever trapped between the spirit world and the bathtub. Its cute round shape and friendly ghost face make it perfect for families and children who love lighthearted Halloween decorations. The model is easy to print, simple to assemble, and a delightful addition to any Halloween display. Whether placed on a bathroom shelf or next to your spooky collection, this tiny ghost duck is sure to make everyone smile. A little 3D print with a lot of charm – hauntingly adorable!

Please read before printing:

This model features fine details and delicate structures.
Make sure your print bed is clean and free from dust, grease, or residue to ensure strong adhesion.
Place your printer on a stable, vibration-free surface, and confirm that vibration compensation is correctly calibrated.
Before printing, double-check that your filament profile matches the material and that your bed temperature is properly set.

Print Recommendation:

I recommend printing the Models with the orignal intendet Print Profil: 

For the long chain version: [original-LC] variable layers, optimised settings
For the short chain version: [original-SC] variable layers, optimised settings

 

This includes a layer height of 0.16 mm and the upper part of the duck head with a layer height of 0.08 mm and hidden seams. The variable layer height is already set in the 3MF file.


The Chain is set to 100% infill to balance the flying duck and keep it stable. The infill is already set in the 3MF file.

The upright angled position of the duck on the print bed minimizes the chance of print errors and reduces both print time and the amount of support structures needed.

 

 

The print quality on the underside of the duck depends on how well your printer handles bridges. I consider the current angled position very positive, as it hides most of the mess from support structures. Likewise, if any “spaghetti” occurs underneath the duck, it will also be well hidden from view.

 

I recommend PLA Matte Bonewhite and the settings in my print profil for a high quality print.

 

Support Structures:

Be careful when removing the support structures from the chain to avoid breaking it.


The Design and my Print Profil is designed with minimal but necessary supports.

 

Assemble:

Insert the Chain into its matching opening and push it all the way in. Apply gentle pressure to the thicker parts of the objects to avoid cracks or breaks. Just keep pushing gently without to much force.
