Lancer L5-AWM Monopod

This is a monopod base pad for a Lancer L5-AWM magazine. It replaces the original base pad and gives a better footprint for resting your tool on the ground without a bipod. Install is just like the factory base pad, slide it on, then smack the side of the magazine on your palm and the button seats properly. PRINT IN ABS, ABS-GF, or ANY OTHER HIGH STRENGTH/MODERATE HEAT RESISTANT MATERIAL. PLA will not work, they will get soft in the sunlight and come apart, durability with PLA is not guaranteed either.

Print orientation is vertical, with the DT logo facing the build plate. This ensures the layer strength is perpendicular to the force holding the walls from the base plate to the magazine. Prevents layer separation. My print profile should be oriented correctly.

UPDATE 11/4/25: Model updated for improved strength and better printing on bottom half by build plate (low angle caused layer issues). Both stl and 3mf files have been updated to this most recent version.

UPDATE 12/18/25: V4 released. Thicker walls for increased durability when dropping a loaded mag on a hard surface. Testing will continue to see if this change is enough to withstand the impact.
