Model creation is not easy. To allow for parametric adjustment, many versions of the model have been tweaked. If you find this model helpful, please give it a free boost!

Update 2025/11/3:
- Some users reported that the bolt printed vertically on the print bed had insufficient strength. However, I believe the strength is sufficient for simply assisting solder paste extrusion.
- Nevertheless, I redesigned the bolt for horizontal printing. To ensure smooth assembly of the bolt, I truncated a section to increase its contact area with the print bed, thus ensuring its normal function while avoiding support printing, improving surface quality, and assembly smoothness.
- However, due to the need for parametric customization, placing all parts in a single f3d file led to quite a few unpredictable bugs (my personal ability is limited). It constantly reported errors when testing different parameters, which became unbearable, so I had to remodel the optimized bolt.

Update 2025/10/23: When defining the bolt length, it would fail when greater than 120mm. Checking Fusion revealed the issue was with the custom thread, which has now been fixed.
Update 2025/10/18: Fixed the issue where the nut's thread disappeared when the bolt length was 110mm.

Introduction
Precise solder paste extrusion is one of the crucial steps in manual soldering of SMD components. Currently, commercially available syringe solder paste comes with traditional plunger rods, making precise pressure control with the hand somewhat difficult. Moreover, while existing commercial boosters [1-3] compensate for the inability to precisely extrude solder manually, there are numerous products on the market with varying sizes. It's difficult for one product to fit various solder syringes, fluxes, solder oils, solder resist green oils, and other products. While DIY products [4-7] offer some assistance, they still struggle with such a wide range of products.
Addressing these issues, I propose a parametrically customizable syringe booster, allowing for customization of the bolt, handle, and syringe sleeve dimensions, as shown in Figure 1.

It is important to note that the syringe sleeve dimension requires precise measurement of the solder paste syringe diameter, with an added tolerance (typically between 0.1-0.3mm, depending on the material sinkage rate). It is recommended to print this part separately first until it fits snugly onto the solder paste syringe. This is crucial for ensuring the booster is tight and feels high quality.
Furthermore, to align with the characteristics of 3D printing, I have implemented the following enhancements:
1. First, handle strength assurance. As shown in Figure 2, I split the handle into two parts for printing to avoid Z-axis stress. The printed model is very sturdy and difficult to break [5] (comments section). This further avoids the drawbacks of printing overhang supports and non-circular vertical holes.

2. Secondly, for two mutually perpendicular circular holes, vertical circular hole printing is unavoidable. I introduced a teardrop-shaped hole design, as shown in Figure 3. This ensures smooth rotation after the two parts are assembled.

3. Finally, a custom thread was introduced, as shown in Figure 4. Due to the nature of 3D printing, metric thread products pose a considerable challenge for 3D printing. Therefore, I remodeled the thread as a non-metric thread.

Figure 4. Custom thread cross-section diagram
The 45-degree overhang angle effectively avoids support printing, and the thickened threads also increase strength to some extent. It's important to note that for smooth assembly of the bolt and nut, the entire bolt is inevitably printed vertically. Although it has some strength, it is slightly less strong compared to horizontal printing, so please be careful during assembly.
Assembly Steps
Handle and syringe sleeve assembly:

The handle might be a bit difficult to assemble; if necessary, use a rubber mallet or a heavy object to tap it in.
