ScanBench – the Benchy for 3D Scanners!
Print Profile(1)

Description
Welcome to my 3D printing universe.
Here you’ll find a mix of ideas, original creations, useful objects, and sometimes models made simply for the joy of designing and printing.
Every model is designed to be truly printable and tested before being shared.
Take a moment to explore the profile — there’s often more to discover than it first appears 😉

🇫🇷 Summary and description (French version)
🧠 ScanBench V1 – The Benchy for 3D Scanners
The ScanBench V1 is a modular benchmark tool designed to test and compare the performance of 3D scanners.
Inspired by the 3D printer Benchy, it helps evaluate accuracy, surface reconstruction, fine-detail capture, and geometric fidelity across different shapes and textures.
Each zone and module is built to test a specific aspect of scanning (spheres, threads, depths, textures, angles, etc.).
The model is modular and magnetic, with 5 slots for 8×2 mm magnets to attach additional modules.
👉 For the full detailed description, diagrams, and explanations of all zones and modules, check the document here:

⚠️ Disclaimer
As this model is 3D Printed, small dimensional deviations may occur depending on your printer and settings.
The ScanBench is not meant for precision metrology, but rather to analyze how your scanner behaves in various situations and to serve as a practical training and testing platform.
It can also be very interesting to print different parts or modules in various materials or colors — for example PETG Translucent, PLA Silk (shiny), or matte black PLA — to simulate different surface reflections and scanning difficulties.
✅ Recommended print settings:
- Layer height: 0.08 mm
- Material: PLA or PETG
- Add tracking markers to improve alignment and accuracy
💬 Any constructive feedback or suggestions are warmly welcome to help this project evolve toward an even better V2 version!
🖖 Live long and prosper — may the Scan be with you!

AI may be involved in certain stages of the creation process; however, all models are systematically corrected, optimized for 3D printing, and physically printed before being published.
