Customizable Nature Autumn Lamp (Lamp Kit 001)

This is a customisable lamp with swapable lamp shades. The base is a stump compatable with the LED Lamp Kit 001, and you can choose which shade to put on top. So far, there are 7 options, with more to come as time goes on. Assembly requires superglue, and is demonstrated in this video: 

I love nature and natural beauty, so I set about capturing a piece of that in this project. As I was walking through the woods, yellow leaves were drifting down, and one landed on a stump right in front of me. Inspiration struck. I took the stump and cleaned it up, cut it into slices, and photographed each cross section. Once in SolidWorks, I could import each slice, and virtualize this stump, preserving it forever, a small piece of the wonderful outdoors. Next, I added the mounting for the LED Kit 001, and then set about creating a system for mounting various lamp shade option so that the lamp could be customized. Each lamp shade has four pins which set into slots in the top of the stump where the light will illuminate, not only the organic form of the stump, but also whichever lampshade the user wants. For starters, I recreated the leaf that led to the inspiration for the project, then I modeled a pumpkin that features a nature scene. I plan to release more lamp shades as time goes on, and I will create and release the files for an adapter ring for the pins so that others can add to it if they are inspired. The best part of all of this is that the model will even print on the A1 mini, and no AMS is necessary, although colorful leaf results can be achieved with multicolor printing.
