Introduction and Features
I needed a case for my very useful component tester (from AliExpress) It should have the following features:
- Access to all test points
- Screw-less battery compartment
- Everyday-suitable design
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a finished model in my search, so I designed this case
It meets my requirements and additionally offers:
- Quick and easy screw-less assembly
- Low filament consumption
- Marking of the Textool socket
I omitted a switch because the power consumption of the LCR-T4 is lower than the self-discharge of the battery I use
For the design, I first created models of the tester itself and a 9V block battery This significantly simplified the case design and reduced the number of failed attempts
This design is, so to speak, my journeyman's piece in FreeCAD It turned out to be much more complex than expected, so I welcome any feedback and, of course, every boost:

Assembly
After the individual parts have cooled on the print bed, the parts are removed from the print bed Then remove the supports
First, slide the attachment onto the top shell from the right, so that the curve with the hole for the test button sits in the top shell

Now press down on the outer right edge until the attachment snaps into place

Now the component tester can be inserted into the bottom shell Pay attention to the battery cable and route it under the board as shown

Now place the top shell onto the bottom shell and let all tabs snap into place as well
Finally, insert the battery and close the battery compartment by sliding in the battery cover until it snaps into place The beveled side is inserted first

Done! The device is ready for operation
Have fun printing and crafting!
