Drawbridge for Wooden Trains - Brio Compatible

This draw bridge (otherwise known as a bascule bridge or lift bridge) goes up and down with gates and is compatible with Brio, Ikea, and other wooden train sets.

Multiple versions are available. The standard height version matches the height of most wooden train set bridges. The half height version pairs nicely with this low bridge set that you can also print. Both heights are available with and without a track crossing on the lower level.

Printing Instructions

• Print one main section on base, no supports
• Print one bridge, no supports
• Print two side girders, oriented flat on the print bed, no supports
• print two gates, oriented flat on the print bed, no supports

For assembly:

• a 30mm M3 caphead bolt is used for the main bridge hinge pin.
• 12mm lengths of standard 1.75mm filament are used to secure the side girders. These can be secured with a small amount of CA glue. I recommend cutting these pins a bit long and then trimming them to size after assembly.
• 2x 12mm M3 caphead bolts for gate hinge pins.
