Description

Edit: here is the 20S1P Battery Spacer for the Pint X/S that can sit next to the bms.

This bracket securely mounts the SSBMS inside the Pint X/S battery box, preventing it from rattling around, getting squished, or otherwise shifting during use. It positions the SSBMS neatly alongside the battery rather than loose inside the enclosure.

The design fits the 20S1P 21700 battery configuration, and may also work with 24S1P 21700 setups. This layout provides enough clearance for the SSBMS to sit comfortably next to the pack.

A key goal was to avoid any additional hardware — no metal screws, nuts, or other parts that could break loose and cause electrical shorts.

  • The SSBMS slides onto the lower bracket, and the upper piece locks it in place.
  • The bracket includes a side clip that snaps into the cavity of the battery box, keeping the assembly stable.
  • Once the lid is installed, everything is firmly secured — no hot glue or tape required.

This design was created for the stock battery box. Aftermarket boxes may vary slightly; if you’re using one, you might need to:

  • Remove or modify the side clip,
  • Adjust the seat angle, or
  • Use tape, hot glue, or other means to secure it.

The bracket leaves the heatsink area exposed to allow proper heat dissipation. Since the SSBMS can get warm during operation, it’s recommended to print this part in a high-temperature filament such as ASA, ABS, or PETG — not PLA.

Avoid printing with too many walls or heavy infill; a bit of flexibility in the bracket helps with fitting and vibration absorption.

If your battery has extra space or tends to shift slightly, you can:

  • Add a bit of padding, or
  • Extrude the contact area (see one of the photos) of the bracket for a snugger fit.
