During the Spring Festival of 2025, Lanyan, a wind-element girl character based on the cultural archetype of ethnic minorities in Southern China, made her debut.
Lanyan's attire and background are rich in traditional Chinese cultural connotations, especially the Miao culture, silver ornament culture, intangible cultural heritage rattan weaving, and so on, from the Guizhou region.
Additionally, Lanyan's 'yan' (硯, inkstone) is a homophone for 'yanzi' (燕子, swallow), and she has many swallow symbols on her, as well as a swallow-like agility.
Incorporating the swallow element, this Lanyan-themed hairpin was designed and named "[Skillful Swallow Carrying a Branch] Hairpin" (which is a phrase from the official text).
The core swallow decoration references Lanyan's headpiece, and when combined with the long hairpin, it perfectly embodies the concept of 'Skillful Swallow Carrying a Branch'!
This hairpin model is entirely 3D Printed and Print in Place.
Although it only weighs 8 grams, the hairpin body uses 3 walls and 100% infill to ensure its strength.
