Bill of Materials
Description
Elevate your bike storage and trail-side breaks with this compact, pluggable MTB stand, specifically designed for the CUBE Stereo Hybrid series (tested with 29" wheels and standard Cube crank arms).
The Challenge: Standard bike stands are often too bulky to carry on a ride. I wanted a solution that is easy to transport, rock-solid, and not bulky.
The Solution: A minimalist, high-strength holder that attaches directly to the crank arm.
- Self-Locking Design: Features self-locking legs for a secure stand.
- Magnetic Transport: For travel, the legs slide into the mount and are secured by magnets.
- Pocket-Sized: It’s so compact it even fits into the back pocket of your jeans.
Engineering Note: > 🧲 Magnet Polarity: Please pay close attention to the polarity of the magnets during assembly to ensure the transport lock works as intended!
Updates:
- 2025-10-22: Updated version! Now includes additional magnet mounts within the foot sections for even better retention.
Print Settings
This model is designed to be printed without any supports.
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Layer Height: 0.28 mm (Optimized for speed and high structural integrity)
- Infill: 15%
- Supports: None / No Supports needed
Recommended Materials: I tested the prototype using PLA-CF, which works great. However, for maximum durability and outdoor use, I highly recommend:
- PETG-CF
- ASA-CF
- ABS-GF (Carbon or Glass Fiber reinforced filaments provide the best stiffness for heavy E-MTBs).
As always, have fun printing! If you enjoy this design, likes and boosts are highly appreciated. It helps me keep creating and sharing more designs with the community.
If you’d like to go the extra mile and support my work even further, feel free to buy me a coffee. Every bit of support helps me keep the printers running and the CAD software busy!
Keep on printing!
