Description

Himitsu Bako MINI — The Secret Within WORLDS Smallest Puzzlebox

From the legendary Himitsu Bako series comes a new marvel by 2222pzzls — the Himitsu Bako MINI. Really, really tiny! Almost small enough to fit on a keychain..

Handcrafted with the same spirit of Japanese mastery as its larger siblings, this miniature puzzle box captures centuries of tradition in a body less than 1.8 inches wide.

Don’t be fooled by its size — it takes 5 precise steps to unveil its hidden secret. Intricate patterns, delicate inlay work, and silent precision make this tiny box a true keeper of mysteries.

Small in form. Vast in spirit. The secret awaits — if you can find it.

Attention:
This model contains moving parts and relies on tight tolerances. It is strongly recommended to print using a relatively new or well-maintained nozzle. Worn or heavily used nozzles may result in inaccurate prints, which can cause parts to fuse together or fail to meet the required tolerances. This may prevent components from moving correctly or cause them to become stuck.

Comment & Rating (358)

Those fine little details with their sharp angles on the first layer, effectively cutting the adhesion in half, were a tough one for me. Not entirely impossible. But wanting every single one perfect probably gonna take some tries, even with SuperTack plate. Assembling it took some patience and post-processing. Maybe my new P2S isn't as capable (or finetuned/calibrated) as I thought) ... Still 5 stars though, since it worked out in the end and also could be due to this being one of the first prints on the new machine. (well, well, of course the rating script captured the aborted tries due to spaghetti, but not the actual successful one, so I am once again unable to rate a model fairly - I am not giving just 3 stars because the system thinks that should be the maximum)

thank you for taking the time to comment! Well, I hope it’s not a P2S thing because I ordered Mine yesterday 😅🙈

Replying to @2222pzzls :
Congrats! I don't think it's a P2S thing, it's a ME thing, apparently, since I've also had similar issues with every printer I've owned. Either I get nice surface finish and bad dimensions (well, 0.2 tolerance is mostly fine, so it's not bad bad) or I choose to get a little underextrusion but dimension tolerance improves. Or anything in the middle. Plus the variations with different filaments. Well, 3D printing in a nutshell, I guess!? Having fun, though. Especially with the new P2S - it's awesome! If I wouldn't expect a lot of fitment issues I would happily print the Star Wars themed 34 steps puzzle box. Well.. you know what, I'll throw that on now and will see how it turned out tomorrow. Just have to decide which colors I am going with now 😅

What a great puzzle box! I wanted to start small before I tried some of the larger ones. Printed very well on my P1S, using Bambu wood and Bambu transparent blue PLA. (I was going for an inlay feel and this is the closest I had.). The blue gave me a little trouble but I reprinted a couple panels and all was good. The seams are tight do not give anything away.
