Drawers tilt and removable Ikea Skadis

Drawers S/M/L/XL tiltable and removable for an Ikea Skadis pegboard.

Update! Due to popular demand, the handle of the drawers has been revised. It is now open from both the bottom and the top, allowing it to be gripped from both sides. Additionally, it is slightly larger, and the clearance to the drawer has also increased, making it easier to reach in with your fingers. I hope everyone likes the new version.

The old version is still available as a print profile, so please pay attention when downloading. The new drawers are, of course, compatible with the existing holders.

This is a flexible drawer/storage system for Ikea Skadis pegboards.

The drawers are two-part, consisting of the drawer itself and the holder that hooks into the pegboard.

There are 4 different sizes S, M, L, and XL, each with a tall and a shallow version of the drawer.

If you choose the shallow version of the drawers, you can arrange the holders closely one above the other on the pegboard. The drawers can then be pulled out and also removed. With this variant, more drawers fit on the pegboard.

If you choose the tall version of the drawer, you must arrange the holders with a slightly larger distance between them. In this case, you can also use the built-in tilt mechanism and tilt the drawer by approximately 45 degrees after pulling it out. The drawer can, of course, also be removed in this variant.

Incidentally, the shallow drawers can also be tilted if the holders are arranged with a distance between them.

The tall drawers can also be arranged closely one above the other, but they can then only be tilted slightly and not removed.

The drawer is removed in the tilted position by gently tilting it back and pulling it out diagonally forward and upward.

Without the tilt mechanism, the shallow drawers can be removed when extended by slightly lifting and then pulling them out forward.

For printing, I recommend using Support for PLA for the overhangs. Care must be taken to completely remove the supports, otherwise, the smooth movement of the drawers may be impaired.

Due to the geometry, the models tend to warp on the print bed, which should be prevented, otherwise the drawers will no longer run smoothly in the holder. Therefore, good print bed adhesion should be ensured. My recommendation is a textured print plate and a little brim. Increasing the print bed temperature by 5-10 degrees usually helps too.
