Box for Pokemon Chess Set

Description
I have created a storage box for these incredible nice Pokémon chess figures.
I have use the remix for printing the pieces from SkinnyKirby
The original figures are from sch00f’s on thingiverse.

I have scaled everything down by 50%, because my chess board isn’t that big and my Bambu P1S wouldn’t be able to print a box large enough for the original-sized pieces.
The box is quite easy to print. The holders for the pieces need to be printed in a different orientation than the box itself. I glued them in afterwards using super glue.
The click-in mechanism works really well — the pieces fit tightly, so you have to be a bit careful when removing them from the box.
I’m not completely sure if the tolerances will still fit perfectly if you scale it up for the original-sized figures.
The Pokémon logo on the lid snaps in place and holds very tightly.
Printing the figures themselves was quite a challenge. Some pieces, like Mew or Mewtwo, had to be printed several times until I managed to remove the supports without breaking them.
For many figures, I manually painted the support material attachment points in Bambu Studio to make removal easier.
To add weight to the base, I used some scrap metal pieces that are commonly used for adding weight in model building, which I ordered from Amazon. I glued them together using hot glue, since super glue unfortunately left white stains on the black PLA.
The box was printed on a Bambu P1S with a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.16 mm layer height.
