Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you like this I would appreciate a boost to help me save points for a large format enclosed printer to make printing these boxes, and larger ones easier. If I hit my boost goal and can get an H series printer I'll be designing and uploading larger boxes for 6x9s, 8"s and even 10"s.

Here's the 5x7 version of the TrenchBox. I modeled this box for a 5x7 Polk and 5" Dayton Audio designer series passive radiator. I added the print profile that I used. I prefer to print face up, it makes the surface cleaner, but adds a lot of supports. The taper on the screw holes is a bit too shallow so I hit them with a drill bit to make them a little deeper. Overall I'm happy with this box. It's not as bassy as the 6.5" version, but it's a lot more compact.

I printed with 4 walls, so it's pretty much solid. I used a .6mm nozzle and it took 13 hours for the front and 17 hours for the back. I printed this one in PLA+, but plan to do a PETG-GF one once I get an enclosed printer.

YOU NEED TO SNIP THE SIDE TABS OFF OF THE SPEAKER! It's designed to fit with them removed!

Hope you enjoy it!
