Support removal — important
- Work from the bottom up. Start at the base and remove supports in stages; split large supports into smaller pieces rather than pulling big chunks.
- Wings: for supports around the wing ribs, twist each support gently to break the interface before lifting it away. This reduces the risk of tearing thin membranes or chipping rib edges.
- Use flush cutters and a plastic scraper; avoid levering against thin spikes.
