Description

The Swatch Wheel - Display Organizer (with optional Stands) - NEW IKEA SKADIS HANGER & LOGO CENTER CAP
I wanted a more interesting and simple way to display my color swatches — most existing holders felt too plain or required extra hardware like screws,  bearings and springs. So I designed The Swatch Wheel for Bambu Lab swatches, a 3D-printable spinning display that is self fastening and is only 4 parts with out the optional stand. Each section features subtle detailing that makes it as enjoyable to look at as it is to use.

Print in fine detail to appreciate the varied textures built into the design. I’d love to hear your feedback and see your own print results or suggested profiles!

Tips:

Be sure to optimize your printer settings for your filament of choice.

I printed using PLA Matte 'Ivory White'. I lowered the nozzle temp. and it removed the stringing of the ‘OUTER TREAD’.

I've included tree supports on the taller stand design. Supports were easily removed.

I printed this using white PLA basic on my A1. I think the print quality is pretty good and was surprised with how smoothly the stand printed. I didn’t touch any of the settings and it came out fine. Spins great, tolerances seem good, and no sanding was necessary for me. I liked that this design has many different options for stands and covers. This was the first swatch wheel I came across that had a stand without the material labeling, which I prefer to not have as it leaves room to switch out the swatches as needed. I’m overall pleased with this print.

I had to do a little sanding, but it worked really well and is such a nice display piece!
