Bill of Materials
Description
Unfortunately, the Kove 450 Rally and other similar Showa forks have the rebound adjustment bolt unprotected at the bottom of the fork. Dirt gets in there very quickly. In the worst case, this can lead to the adjustment screw becoming defective or becoming impossible to adjust. My cover caps are a reliable solution for protecting the fork.
The Kove 450 Rally has a 49mm fork, which is very similar to the Showa fork. So, it's possible that the caps will fit other forks as well. The Kove fork has a 31mm hole diameter, and the plug is approximately 10mm long.
Boost Me (for free)
Especially for items that can only be used for a few types of motorcycles, a booster and a 5-star rating are highly appreciated.
As mentioned, the fork on the Kove 450 Rally has a diameter of 31mm. With the current adjustment and the pressure profile, the caps have a diameter of 31.9mm and a height of approximately 10mm. This worked very well for me. If it's too tight or too loose for you, you can easily adjust the scale in the slicer to suit your fork. (There may be differences, especially if you use a different TPU or printer.)
For me, printing worked well and easily with the settings in the profile with Bambu Lab A1 and TPU-95A from esun.
To remove the caps use a small screwdriver and be very careful.
It's important that you use TPU-95A. The material must be elastic for it to work. Everyone acts at their own risk; I assume no responsibility.
