Tippe-top for self-printing and marveling
Print Profile(1)

Description
This wonderful top simply turns upside down when spinning.
Everything here is simply about physics.
Through the combination of rotation, surface friction, and the resulting shift in the center of gravity,
the top stands on its stem and simply continues to spin until it slows down again and turns back.
Physicists from all over the world have puzzled over why the top inverts.
Try it yourself and form your own theories about why it does what it does.
After many attempts to design a printable version, I have now prepared 2 variations for you.
The 2-part version has a very special plug-in connection; it is very stable and requires very little space.
Depending on what is better for you to print:
1x the 2-part version, consisting of sphere and handle
1x the complete top; here you should definitely work with a support structure.
To tune the top, you can polish the surfaces, then the tippe-top will spin even longer.
You can let your creativity run wild; it becomes especially interesting when it is printed in different colors.
A very nice pastime for the whole family.
We often hold a competition where we try to get it to stand up as close as possible to a predetermined spot.
Have fun spinning and marveling

Our idea is a windmill that aligns itself with the wind and can be modularly adapted in design.
The special highlight is that neither glue nor screws were used for assembly, yet the windmill stands stable and securely.
In total, our Jutland windmill comprises more than 200 individual parts.
