Description

This is my AirPods 4 case. I made two versions, a normal one and a version with a thinner back for wireless charging.

  • The bottom part of the case is friction held and needs no extra adhesive.
  • Please use a piece of double-sided tape or normal tape to fasten the top part of the case to the AirPods.
  • If the case is difficult to get off the AirPods, please consider printing the removal tool. This will make removal much easier.

the bottom of the portion of the case cover is extremely tight, very difficult to get out one AirPod case is inside. the lid portion of the case cover is too loose, slides off very easily. I think with some minor adjustments it would be a great print

What filament did you use? I tested this with PLA and I personally like the tight fit. Also did you use double sided tape between the top part of the case and the lid of the AirPods? Using the tape makes it stay on.

I used PLA and I tried the tape, and it didn’t work as well. but that could have been a tape issue. I’ll see if I can try to find a different one. but the bottom portion for me was just way to tight it went in but it was so hard to pull the case out of the cover if I wanted to change the cover regularly.

Do you wirelessly charge? I have included a model with a thinner back for wireless charging, but there is currently nor print profile for it. Try Printing it with completely dry filament with flow dynamics calibration to see if that makes the fit a bit more manageable for you.

The bottom part was too small and really hard to get onto the airpods and the top was too large and wouldnt stay on, so I had to tape it to the airpods. Edit: I did not read the description about the top part needing tape.

Thanks for your review. Had you read my description of the model, you would have seen how I said tape was necessary for the lid of the case. As for the base, the best advice I can give is to use completely dry filament and use flow dynamics calibration.
