Description

This is a remix of the fantastic “3 or 4 ID Badge Holder” by ewok1 found here:  https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6812967

ewok1's original design allows badges to easily slide in to place in both the front, back, and tray, and securely holds the badges even with vigorous motion. It prints smoothly and assembles in about 5 min (with the aid of some light hammering)

I found it difficult to get the slide out to work in ewolk1's original model, so I added side lobes (at the expense of the sleek design) to make it easy to push out the interior badge tray. Push the back of the tray out with your thumb while holding the lobes on the opposite side with your fingers. It pops right out!

I also added a shelf underneath the front badge holder to glue on aluminum foil, allowing the badge in front to be readable by any RFID tokens behind the front to theoretically be blocked. It works great for my ID cards, but depending where the RFID chip is located in your badge, it may not work.

I used Aluminum foil tape, which worked great and left a clean look, but you may also use double stick tape or an appropriate adhesive to adhere regular foil to the back.
