Description

CZ 457 5 round full printable magazine.

To prevent a gap from forming on the side of the magazine, you should print in archne mode

This model will be updated continuously.

Prefer material ABS, PETG.

Added an alternative profile with a detached spring for easier printing in non-standard materials. Only the spring requires ABS or PETG. Make sure to use materials with high deformation resistance for the spring itself.

I’ve added a version for a two 0.5x45x5.5 metal spring. I hope this solves the issue with printed springs once and for all.

how do you sequence the assembly? I'm not getting the bottom part (connected to the spring to) to fit properly with the base.

Hi! Sorry, I haven't had the time to edit the description and upload detailed assembly instructions yet. The rounded part of the magazine blocker must face the front of the magazine, while the magazine plate should be slid in from the back. You might find that some parts require a bit of manual sanding or post-processing, as is often the case with 3D prints.

heya, a 5.5 OD wire isn't the easiest to find. I wonder if 6mm OD will work just fine or if it needs to be exact 5.5mm OD?

Very nice model! All elements match together and looks promising on the range. I cannot wait to test it practically. Thank you! I keep the fingers crossed for successful development of 10 rounds magazine! Printed with BAMBU petg translucent clear.

Thank you so much for the photo, the boost, and your feedback! The 10-round magazine is nearly finished, but in my opinion, it still has too many jams to upload it with a clear conscience. I hope the current model serves you well, and if the spring loses its tension too quickly, I’ll soon be releasing a version converted for metal springs from Maker Supply.

I’ve seen that magazine. It's a very faithful recreation of the original mags. However, I want the feed lips to be printed vertically, as this ensures the best possible quality and will prevent most jams.

awesome print. just wanted to note i was replacing some worn out Remington 597 10rd springs just now. They fit and function perfectly as a replacement for the printed springs. all this was after i just received the round springs from amazon. the round springs will be shipped back tomorrow.

Hello. What are the specifications of the Remington 597 spring you used? (material thickness, length, width, height, number of coils)

That clear material looks great. I’d like to see those 10-round mags when they’ve been uploaded.

I don't know if newer mags are different but mine has longer upper retaining ledges to prevent the cases from tilting up (and not chambering) Could you please make a version like this?

Absolutely not. Keep in mind that these magazines are designed for 3D printing. In the case of printed mags, the feed lips (retaining ledges) aren't as precise as those in factory made ones, which caused the rounds to jam (my earlier versions had this issue, and I fixed it specifically by shortening those lips). Once the bolt picks up a round, it should snap out of the magazine to align with the chamber for proper feeding. This is exactly how factory magazines function.

Hi, how are you? Sorry to bother you, but do you have this same magazine for .17 HMR caliber? Or .22 MAG?

Hi! If I get the chance, I’ll definitely do it. Unfortunately, I don't currently have this rifle in those calibers, so I wouldn't be able to test if the magazine works properly.

Hi friend, sorry to bother you again, but if I could give you the dimensions of an original magazine in that caliber, you could do it. I'd be happy to try it; it's impossible for me to get one in Argentina.

Sure! I'm glad you want to help. I'll get on it as soon as I finish the 10-round magazine for the .22 LR.

I’d love to design it, but unfortunately, the rifle I own in that caliber is a different model. If I get a chance to test it, I will definitely release a version for it.

Works better than any of the other 5 round magazines I tried. A ten round magazine project should be next (hint!).

Thank you very much for your feedback and for boosting my model. It is very important information for me that the model is working fully correctly. The 10 round magazine is still under design, but it will certainly be available in the near future.

Printed on Bambu petg translucent clear and Rosa3d petg Standard HS Red. Printer A1 Mini. I found tinny strings inside the magazine box however filament was dry. Maybe my filament settings was not perfect. The final result is very good 👍 loading and unloading without any issues. Now I have additional 2 nice magazines. I Congratulate the project. Well done 💪
