Candy dispenser for Smarties, peanuts or similar

I was bored and had Smarties. So I built this dispenser.
Nobody needs it, but I made it anyway :-D

The dispenser is completely printable. Apart from a small drop of glue, no other materials are needed

It comes in a shallow and a deeper version.

The dimensions for the shallow version are 135mm wide, 31mm deep, and 210mm high.
For the deeper version, they are 135mm wide, 50mm deep, and 210mm high.

If you prefer to look into the dispenser, you will also need a 1.5mm thick plexiglass pane / acrylic pane

1mm or 2mm thickness would also work, although 2mm fits very tightly

If the dispenser is to be mounted with screws, it is screwed into the desired location and the rotary knob is inserted. After that, the front plate is slid in and the knob handle is inserted

If the handle does not sit tightly enough in the rotary knob, a drop of superglue should be added into the hole.

CAUTION: The superglue must not overflow or get onto the front plate/plexiglass pane

If you prefer to use the plexiglass pane instead of the front plate, you need to cut it to 129*208mm

After printing, insert the rotary knob, slide in the plexiglass pane, and mark the hole.
Remove the pane again and carefully drill the hole with a 6mm or 7mm drill bit.
Wood drill bits work best

Alternatively, the front plate can also be used as a template

If the dispenser is to be glued instead of screwed, you can of course assemble everything before attaching it and then glue the fully assembled unit with double-sided tape, silicone or similar.
For adhesive mounting, there are plugs for the screw holes

Optionally, the output chute can be glued to the underside

Fill with Smarties, peanuts, or whatever, put on the lid, and you're good to go.
