Description

Wall-E paper holder was one of the first models I've printed to enhance home, I love it :)

I'm currently switching home, the new proprietary asked me to leave it to him, so before printing a new Wall-E I decided to remix the original model and solve some of its problems.

Here what I did:

  • added slots, pegs and plugs for an easier assembly of most of the parts
  • the roll holder tube now has a screw-closed end
  • adjusted the neck for a better inclination of the head
  • added an optional wall support in place of the original holes for screws
  • now the screws used are metric, 1 M3x12 and 1 M3x30 + nuts
  • added slots for magnets to hold the front panel
  • resized the model so now it can hold 11cm tall paper rolls
  • arms and hands now have a fixed position
  • “Wall-E” letters are standalone parts now and can be printed without ams (the “E” only needs a manual color switch)

BOM:

  • 1 M3x12 - 1 M3x30 screw with nuts
  • 4 Ø10x2mm magnets

The project is shared “as is”, I have just finished to work on it, I've checked and checked again for errors and it seems to be definitely ok.

When assembling the parts check the bottom neck correct placing (higher fillet must be front oriented)

Tolerances are .2/.3mm.

You can see the Stanley_B's assembly guide here for reference, also you can see my pics of the torso to know where put the body frames.

EDIT 2026.06.07

Finally found the time to print the model! I've made a few minor corrections and improvements:

  • Improved the wall support to allow better tolerances and accommodate wall holes that aren't perfectly aligned.
  • Upgraded the toilet paper roll tube with a smoother thread that is much easier to print.
  • Optimized the dimensions of the alignment pegs used to join the suspension and eye parts; they are now interchangeable between the suspension and the eyes.
  • Improved tolerances here and there
  • Uploaded AMS-ready versions of the front body panel (with the "Wall-E" text), the speaker, and the neck frame. (Note: The neck frame still requires one manual color switch for the right button).
  • Removed the old stls to avoid confusion

If you like the project put a like and your make :)
