Gargoyle Bookend

This piece is a Gargoyle Bookend designed as a little architectural guardian for your bookshelf — a compact, sculptural nod to the ornamentation of grand cathedrals. The figure leans against the books as if peering down from a cathedral ledge: crouched, winged, and alert. I sculpted the pose to feel purposeful and weathered, with strong silhouettes and folds that catch shadow and give the piece a tactile, stone-like presence.

The print shown was completed in matte grey PLA and required tree supports, which removed cleanly and preserved the delicate sculptural details. It’s intended as both a functional object (bookend) and a decorative accent — you can place it beside a tealight house or other gothic miniatures for a moody display.

• 150% (large)
  • Dimensions: Depth 86 mm × Width 233 mm × Height 150 mm
  • Estimated print time: ~6 hours
  • Notes: This size must be printed diagonally on the build plate. Too large for A1 Mini — check your printer bed and diagonal clearance first.

Both sizes are designed to be printed as single parts. The files allow you to either print a bookend where the Gargoyle is on the left or right side.

Material: Matte Grey PLA — it gives a stone-like look right off the printer.
