Description

Winding Example:

Touch screen control

Disconnection detection

Power Loss Recovery

Real-time tangle detection during the winding process.

The minimum step is 0.03mm and can be wound with 0.01mm fishing line

Storage size 16*19CM

Support for 8 different languages

The machine adopts a three-axis control system — the main spindle handles wire rotation, the X-axis moves the guide rail horizontally, and the Z-axis (also called the telescopic axis) dynamically adjusts the winding distance, keeping every layer neat and precise.

It supports full parameter customization, including wire diameter, spool width, winding speed, and rotation direction.
You can wind by turns or by length, with optional automatic stop when a wire break is detected.

The 4.3-inch touchscreen combined with physical buttons makes operation both intuitive and reliable.

The core system now uses an encoder motor drive, offering higher precision, greater torque, and faster response.

This upgrade ensures smoother performance, especially when handling fine wire or running at high speed.

Built-in Wi-Fi allows remote firmware updates, and up to five preset winding configurations can be saved for quick recall.

The modular 3D-printed frame supports full arm folding, and when folded, the size is only about 16 × 19 cm — roughly the same as a spool of 3D printing filament.

Whether you’re an electronics hobbyist, a lab instructor, or a micro-motor developer, this machine will make your winding process faster, smarter, and more accurate.

The video also showcases real winding tests with wires of different diameters — feel free to share your thoughts or improvement ideas in the comments!

Version 2.0.1
Update Highlights

1. Expanded language support
Language support increased from 2 to 8.

Now available in:
Chinese, English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Dutch

2. Added real-time tangle detection
The donor spool is monitored for abnormal tension.
If tangling is detected, the machine automatically pauses to prevent damage.

3. Updated spool with tapered core
A single spool can now fit multiple inner diameters.
(Thanks to Jerry Fay for the suggestion!)

4. Improved X-axis design
Optimized structure reduces friction, improves alignment, and lowers the chance of calibration errors.

Version 2.0.2
Update Highlights

1. Added power loss recovery (manual resume)
After an unexpected power interruption, the machine restores the winding state to the exact point before power loss and remains paused.
The user can then manually resume winding, ensuring full control and safe operation.

2. Gradual ramp-up of winding start speed
Winding now starts with a controlled speed ramp instead of an instant full-speed start, reducing mechanical shock and improving stability, especially for fine wire.

3. Fixed X-axis stutter on the first winding layer
Resolved an issue where the X-axis could momentarily stutter during the first winding layer, resulting in smoother initial alignment and more consistent winding quality.

4. Removed X-axis bushing to improve tolerance
The X-axis bushing has been removed to increase tolerance for 3D-printed parts, improving assembly compatibility and reducing binding caused by print inaccuracies.
