RC Car Body Hole Edge Reinforcement with 10mm Hole
I designed this simple hole edge reinforcement for bodies of large models made of polycarbonate (Macrolon, Lexan), PET or ABS, so that the holes for the body mounts do not tear out.
The hole reinforcement is 3 mm thick and is glued from the inside into the body. If, as with my Opel Kadett C GTE body, the edges of the hole reinforcement protrude, these edges can be trimmed AFTER gluing. I chose PLA as the material for the hole reinforcement. The material is perfectly sufficient for this purpose.
