This project integrates a Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 inside the Bambulab P1S as a seamless hardware upgrade for timelapse recording.
The focus of this design is cleanliness, ease of use, and reliable functionality.

Seamless installation inside your printer
Clean cable routing with a smart ribbon system
Captures full 12MP timelapse photos (4K output ready)
-=General notes=-
For best image quality, the Wide FOV Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 (NoIR or regular) is recommended.
Wide FOV lenses stay in focus across the full print area and allow for software cropping.
Regular FOV lenses have a shallow depth of field; images may go out of focus as the print head moves.
(they are also not wide enough to capture the entire print bed)

While Raspberry Pi camera mount projects exist, my design focuses on clean, integrated hardware for the Bambulab P1S, addressing gaps in polish and usability found in other solutions.
The clever routing system makes installation straightforward and minimizes the risk of damaging delicate ribbon cables.
This project started from the necessity to timelapse my prints in 4k while keeping the setup tidy and without dangerously bent ribbon cables.
