Description

Cute Hipster Reading Ghost

I was asked to produce a reading version of the Cute Hipster Ghost by a family member and i thought you guys might like it too. Cosied up on a cold October night with a good book and a warm hot chocolate, this Cute ghost is perfect for decorating the house or desk during the spooky season or beyond. Printed in parts so NO AMS needed. The same size as the previous Ghost this Cute Ghost will fit in well with the others in your collection!

The book cover is thin so delicate, be careful when removing supports. Inside surface quality doesnt matter due to gluing in the book pages. The pages utilise a brim, but I dont feel you need to remove the brim from between the pages, just the outside as you will not see the bottom of the pages. Eyes have been adjusted so fit in well, marked with L and R corresponding to the Ghosts left and right not yours.

If you have any preferences on styles of hats I can make for you all so you can mix and match let me know. I hope you enjoy the latest addition to the spooky family!

NOT AI, NO AI COLOUR PICS WHICH DISGUISE A POOR DETAILED SINGLE COLOUR PRINT. REAL PRINTED RESULTS!

ah man, maybe slow it down and make the brim bigger and make sure the slicer is setting the wall gen to Arachne

Cute! I printed both the separated and AMS files, all with default settings on an A1. Supports were easy to remove. For the separated one, it might be a little better to adjust the angle of the hat so the majority of the bottom is flush with the build plate. For the AMS, it came out well except that the 4 back pages are not connected; you can see in my picture that 2 fell out and 2 are floating.

I will have a look at the file and see if I can adjust the AMS version. Thank you for the feedback! I imagine changing the wall generator to Arachne rather than classic will probably solve that issue due to how thin the pages would be.

I just noticed the AMS profile is smaller than the split one as well so maybe printing it at the same scale will help. Sorry I didn’t rate it on my comment, I couldn’t figure out how to do it in the app UI but I just found it. I used this guy as my test print on my new machine.

@amiller actually I think maybe only the book is a different scale. I think the book in the separated file is too large. I was having issues fitting it into the notch and that might explain why others are having issues gluing the book in the comments.

The ghost prints super well. I personalized it and gave it to an author for her reading ☺️ Thanks for the great file

The cover was too thin at 70%. I didn't want to reprint it anymore, it's still such a great model

It will only affect while scaling down. They need to turn off “Uniform Scaling” and manually reduce the Z Scale and X Scale with out adjusting the Y scale which would make it thinner and harder to print.

Super cute print. Everything glued together well. Book was probably the bigger challenge. I used a mini clamp to hold the pages into the brown spine, and came together nicely. I assume you could get away with not using this method, but I wanted the pages tight. Great design and easy print.

Thankyou so much, I was torn between an easier to assemble design for the book, but i wanted it to be more unique with seperate pages. I could have gone with a plain white slab but i think the design looks better like this and I just held it together for a few seconds while my glue set. Hopefully others will feel the same. Thankyou for the awesome feedback and the boost.

Great model The kids love it I would recommend printing the eyes and sleeve inserts on a smooth PEI plate otherwise you will see the texture
