Description

When working with a DEWALT DWE7492 table saw equipped with both a rip fence (parallel fence) and a crosscut fence (miter gauge), never use both at the same time—especially when crosscutting narrow workpieces that are much wider than they are deep.

Doing so can cause the offcut piece to get trapped between the rip fence and the saw blade, resulting in a kickback projectile, which can be extremely dangerous.

This is where this model comes in:

🔧 Purpose

This is a support fence designed to be mounted onto the folded-out crosscut fence of the DEWALT DWE7492.
It allows you to use the side fence for positioning while the workpiece is guided safely by the crosscut fence during cutting, completely preventing kickback.

⚙️ Key Features

  • The auxiliary fence stops before the saw blade, ensuring that no part of the workpiece can jam between the blade and the fence.
  • The effective measuring scale is shortened by exactly 10 cm, making it easy to cut multiple identical pieces precisely and safely.
  • The model can be easily slid on and off without any tools, allowing for quick setup and removal whenever needed.
