### How it works: Ingeniously simple
1. Â Fill the outer sleeve with a small amount of water.
2. Â Insert the inner bolt into the sleeve.
3. Â Place the complete lock in the freezer. The water freezes, connecting both parts into a solid unit.
4. Â Hang the lock (e.g., with carabiners) so that it is under slight tension.
5. Â At room temperature, the ice begins to melt. After approx. 20 minutes, it loses its holding power, and the tension releases the connection â the two parts slide apart.
