Description

UPDATED:

Following a request, I added a second model to the profile:

Galvanox also has a ratchet attachment for the flat bit driver on Leatherman multitools… I have added a slot to fit this ratchet, and it works well with both the short and the long extension bits from my original model!  Everything is still nice and snug, and the print settings have remained the same for TPU filament!

I hope you enjoy the new addition, and the old model with just the extension bit slots is still included should you wish to print that one instead!

ORIGINAL POST:

I ordered a driver bit + extender set (Galvanox) for my Leatherman Wave+, and I really wanted to keep the whole kit on my belt with multi-tool.

This holster was designed to be comfortable, light-weight, and secure.  I believe this checks all of those boxes. There is a retention ring at the top of the bit holder to keep it securely in place, and the socket extensions are sized with zero clearance. These bits will never fall out by accident!

Printed in Bambu 90A TPU, its soft yet tough, and holds all the parts very securely on a belt (Up to 2").

Tolerances are tight, and after printing it will seem too grippy, but after a few times of inserting and removing the extension bits, they will loosen but still retain a secure grip. (I tried really hard to not make it sound R rated lol)

Print it upside down, and with support. The included profile should work for any TPU, but let me know if there are any issues.

Print slow to make sure the belt clip section doesn't move too much while printing.

I've included some screenshots from Fusion as some of the details may be hard to see in the black TPU I printed it with.

This works very well. Would love to see a version that accommodates the Galvanox Ratchet but rather than the small bit extender. Right now it fits in that slot, but with a fair bit of play

Thanks much for the boost, rating and feedback! Unfortunately I don't have the ratchet in my set, so I can't readily get measurements for it. I can try modelling a version using pictures online as reference, but I won't be able guarantee a great fit. I'll take a swing at it though...would you like the ratchet to fit sideways (like the bit socket facing across the part), or forward (bit socket facing out from body)?

Ok.. so your comment really got me thinking about how much I wanted to get the Ratchet :D I've added a second profile to include the updated model, and I'm happy to say that it is a nice solid fit! I would be happy to hear any feedback from you regarding the update, and thanks for your interest in the model! - JarM

It might be something from my print but it's a bit small

I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with it. I'm not sure exactly what you mean about it being small. Just to clarify a few things to make sure: - This is designed for TPU only (have tested with both 85A and 95A Shore hardness with no issues noted)...any rigid filament will not work correctly as it won't be able to flex. - This was designed for the Galvanox brand attachments, and I don't think it will work with the Leatherman branded kits. If you used TPU, and the Galvanox tools, it should fit snug but still allow for good movements. As noted in the description, it should fit perfectly after a few repetitions of the movement while still holding securely. Hopefully we can get this working for you JarM
