Mermaid Tear - Vintage Magnetic Brooch

Hey there! :)

After a long pause in designing more witchy clothing accessories, I'm here with a new clothing brooch! This piece is special to me, since it's the first time I've incorporated the filament characteristics into the design itself. I really wanted to tap into the vintage, luxurious 19th-century aesthetic, so I went for an eye-catching teardrop centerpiece printed in Bambulab Galaxy filament and used high-contrast wood-carved details around the jewel to bring the whole look together.

The brooch is magnetic, so it won't damage the fabric, and can be used as a clothing brooch, a skirt hike, or a hat or scarf ornament. It'll be a super cool gift or shop item if you're having a renfaire witchy business, or can elevate your style quickly if you're dressing as a Victorian / steampunk character (or just yourself, and you're that cool :D)

Size & Features:

• The brooch is quite large, with a length of 65 mm. For this size, you'll need two 6 mm magnets to balance the brooch, and two more to connect to the holder piece in the back of the clothing.
• I suggest not scaling down the brooch since it could damage the fine details in the design. But if you did, you'd also need to use smaller magnets to hold the piece.
• Print the jewel in PLA Galaxy, PLA Silk, or PLA Glow, and choose a high contrast filament color for the body of the brooch for the best result.

Print Notes:

• Print with 0.12 or 0.08 layer height for capturing maximum details.
• Enable the support generation.
• The uploaded profile comes with “Brim Ears”, but if you have trouble with bed adhesion, you'll need to enable “Outer Brims” to ensure the fine details will print without failure.
• Clean the print carefully, and enjoy!
