Micro Ball Linkage Joint (scalable)
Print Profile(1)

Description
Perfect for RC model building and robotics!
This set of 8 ball joints is designed for assembly with M2 screws.
After printing, you only need to tear off the joint from the brim and free the ball in the socket, for example, with a wire.
The hole in the socket is scaled so that an M2 screw cuts its own thread when screwed in, allowing threaded rods to serve as push rods. If you want to use a rod without a thread, you can also drill out this hole with a 2mm drill bit.
With an M2 screw passed through the ball, you can, for example, screw the joint to a servo horn.
You can easily scale the file in Bambu Studio:
150% for M3 (3mm)
200% for M4 (4mm)…
Note that scaling also increases tolerances and potentially the play of the ball in the socket.
