Description

Got a bunch of sticky notes from a friend, storing and using them became a real headache. They needed to be kept together, but also easy to read.

With that adhesive on the back, no matter how carefully you peel them off, they always curl up. Super annoying when you're trying to read them.

So, I designed a slot right inside the lid.

This way, you can easily insert a peeled-off sticky note to keep it flat for hassle-free marking and reading.

To optimize for reading and note placement, the lid can open beyond 90° – up to 120°.

To make sure it stays open at the perfect reading angle, I added a little base plate.

I've pre-designed a simple template on this base plate,

and you'll also find a plain base plate in the file, allowing you to easily customize your own templates with modifiers.

Note that I created a small indentation at the bottom of the template. This helps keep the template securely in place when drawing on sticky notes, preventing it from sliding around.

Due to this indentation, I added a 0.2mm support layer—thin but effective. Be sure to remove it after printing.

All my prints were successful. If you encounter issues, please provide feedback.

Switching to a different filament might yield different results.

Of course, if you prefer not to use the base plate, no problem! Just place a pen – the sticky note's best companion – underneath the box, and it will achieve a similar effect.

We often use various sticky note sizes, so I've researched and created boxes for these common dimensions:
38x51 / 51x38
76x76
76x127 / 127x76
102x152 / 152x102

I also made an 80x80 size box, as I found some sticky notes of this specific size.

And here's a totally unexpected bonus for me : this box totally fits those small watercolor papers! So, I've been using it to tidy up some loose, painted little watercolor pieces. It works great and even shows them off nicely. I totally forgot what brand that tiny paper was, and it's definitely not a standard watercolor paper size, but, it fits perfectly, looks good, and I'm loving it.

Printing Tips:
I had excellent results printing with ABS and PETG. However, Bambu Lab's official PLA Wood was a complete mess for me, and PLA Matte showed some warping at the bottom. So, depending on your filament, consider using a brim to ensure a flat base.

Finally, the classic feedback (based on feedback from my 3.5' harddrive case):
'The little bump on the lid is a bit too prominent, makes it hard to open and close.'

That was totally on purpose! Different materials shrink differently, so I left a bit extra material there.  If it feels too tight or doesn't close smoothly, a gentle file or sanding will easily fix it. It's always easier to remove material than to add it.

Bye the way:

You can find all the sizes I provide.

And seriously, does anyone actually use 76x127 sticky notes? If I ever make a box for that, the action of inserting sticky notes into the lid will always remind me of that scene with Gary Oldman in The Fifth Element:

2026-01-05 update:

At the user's request, a large box of 250x230x30 was made.

The user plans to use it to store their own documents or some stationery.

Please note that boxes of this size tend to warp easily during printing, so users need to have sufficient ability to debug their own printers.
Not all models can achieve perfect results when printed directly.
