Scyrox V8 Bottom Shell Replacement & Weight Mod

Bottom Shell for Scyrox V8

This replacement shell has 3 variants (all weights given for my calibrated PLA prints):

1. Normal Shell: comes in at around 5.7g and has no holes.   -   "Stable"
2. Light Shell: comes in at around 5.25g, has holes that are covered with thin layers.   -   “Hybrid”
3. Superlight Shell: comes in at around 5.0g, has holes.   -   “Lightweight”

For comparison, my original bottom shell of the Scyrox V8 Mouse came in at 6.5g.

Assembly

Just place the PCB onto the holes, exactly as with the original bottom shell. Screw in the four original screws and turn them until they squeeze the PCB a little bit - that is enough. The PCB should sit tight. The front part should sit on the front screw holes, without space between PCB and the screw hole. Now put the mouse back together. Do not overtighten the screws.

IF your PCB wobbles up and down in the front, take it out and bend it downwards a bit before inserting it again.
 

Skates
I recommend to use Dot-Skates instead of full sized skates with the light and superlight variant.
Only the normal variant is designed to support full sized skates for the Scyrox V8.

You may get away with using the other variants and full sized skates, but I do not recommend it as they could apply too much pressure on the parts with thin layers and bend them.

Print Settings

The model was designed with the given print settings in the 3mf at 0.1mm layer height on a PEI smooth plate with PLA. 
The smooth plate is imporant so the skates do not fall off from the bottom as easily.
For me it fits perfectly, but as tolerances are very small you may need to tinker with the scale in very small increments.
PETG does also work, but weighs a tiny bit more and is a bit more flexible.
