Movo - Your anytime desk
Print Profile(1)

Bill of Materials
Description
This is a super satisfying build and provides a functional desk or tray which can be used flat on your knees or with it's inbuilt legs when sitting in bed.
It's my biggest model so far at 69cm x 30cm x 26cm when stood on it's legs and 60cmx30cmx3cm when flat.
With optional tablet, phone and drinks holders, two drawers and a centre section that can elevate a book or full 15" laptop with space for a mouse it's super useful!
The mixed materials of wood and plastic provide an upmarket feel and warmth to the desk. You can opt to use just 2 30cm x 30cm x 3mm pieces of wood and have an open back with fully printed drawers or go for the luxury model and use an additional two 30x30 pieces of wood.
The frame can be constructed without glue up until the point where you add optional holders and the wood and each piece of hardware has access slots to help remove it if you find any issues.

Options
Magnet sizes
You can use 10x5x2mm magnets (strongest) or two round 5x2mm magnets. You will find magnet holders for both in the print profile.
Phone / Tablet Holder size
You do not have to add a phone or tablet holder these are optional. The laser file has the 12mm thick versions picked by default, I suggest printing these and testing with your device, if needed you can then choose the thinner version and change the laser profile.
Cup Holder
Just pick the CupFrame6mm version on plate 11 there is no need for the accompanying insert either. The others are probably over design and allow the cup holding surface to be removed for cleaning.
Drawers
You can use the fully printed version or an extra piece of plywood and make the base wooden.
Back
The centre back area of the desk can be filled in with wood if you so desire, you can do this after construction if you wish to but it's harder (see my video where I take this approach)
Hardware
I really advise getting these from maker's supply to avoid any disappointments with subtly different sizes. I've tested with official parts.
5 x M3x4x30 SHSS Machine Screw
5 x M3x4x20 SHSS Machine Screw
8 x M3x16 BHCS Machine Screw
8 x M3 SquareNut
10 x M3 Self Locking Nut
Optional 8 x OD14x1.mm O Ring Avoids leg flop when picking up the desk.
10 x 4x5mm Spring Ball Plunger
Minimum 4 Max 14 10x5x2mm Rectangular Magnets or Minimum 8 Max 28 5x2mm round magnets

Wood
You will need at minimum 2 pieces of 30cmx30cmx3mm plywood. If you want wooden bases to the drawers add another piece and if you would like a wooden backing to the centre add another.
