Eris Greyrat Nameless Sword from Mushoku Tensei

Designed for Cosplay or display. The sword is divided in 4 plates to fit a 256mm build plate.Ā

Its full size is 75cm (the blade is 60cm and the hilt adds 15cm), as described in the Light Novel (thx to Lucius Seneca šŸ™‡):
Ā

"That said, I accepted it and drew it from the sheath.

It was a broad, single-edged blade. About 60 cm long, compact. Slightly curved. A machete... no, more like a scimitar. It bore scratches on various sides that showed signs of wear, yet not a single nick along the edge. Perhaps it had been well maintained, for the blade was beautiful—almost as if it gave off a murderous aura. Overall, its color was dull, but depending on how it caught the light, it gleamed faintly with a greenish glow."

Printed Settings (image's result):

Material: Generic PLA

Layer Height: 0.2mm

Print Profile: 0.2mm (Strength)

Errors and Recomendations:

  • Print in Strength, had this printed in that profile and it is sturdy enough for rough movement or hits. (The reason why mine broke is a personal error, left this on the floor and stepped on it šŸ˜…)
  • After printing Super Glue should be enough, to fill some possible gaps use Plastic putty filler
  • After filling gaps, sand mostly (pommel and blade), Prime paint it with black primer to make it look realistic, and Spray paint it.
  • I used the following paints:
    • Rust-Oleum Ultra Cover 2X Black
    • C&A - Dorado
    • C&A - Cafe
    • C&A - Rojo Fuego
    • Hardman - Aluminio
