Description

Soviet Mil Mi-26 Heavy Lift Helicopter 1:200 scale

From Wiki:

“The Mil Mi-26 (Russian: Миль Ми-26, NATO reporting name: Halo) is a Soviet/Russian heavy transport helicopter. Its product code is Izdeliye 90. Operated by both military and civilian operators, it is the largest helicopter to have gone into serial production.

As of 2024, the Mi-26 still holds the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale world record for the greatest mass lifted by a helicopter to 2,000 metres (6,562 ft) – 56,768.8 kilograms (125,000 lb) on a flight in 1982.”

Remixed from the great Thingiverse model from Pfelpensson. Sized for 1:200, sliced for easier printing and minimal supports. Will need glue.  Rotors are fragile - be careful removing from plate!  Main rotor is a bit tight, but will fit on the peg without glue.  Landing gear actually came out great!

This is a revision of a previous model I had for this helicopter (now removed) - sized a little larger at 1:200 scale (instead of the previous 1:250 -turns out my scale was off on the other model).  Also tweaked settings and adjusted scales to make the thin struts and rotors print better.  I'm much happier with this profile.  Also has the approval of my in-house 11 yo aviation enthusiast.

Printed in Bambu PLA Basic white, detailed with acrylic paint markers by my in-house 11y.o. aircraft enthusiast.  (Last pic of the grey Mi-26 is from my old profile.)

If you liked this print, please check out my other scale prints. Feedback, thumbs up, and/or boosts would be very appreciated! Thank you!
