Korean Traditional Taegeuk Fan (태극선)
Inspired by the Taegeukseon (태극선), a traditional Korean fan decorated with the red, blue, and yellow taegeuk swirl. The taegeuk symbol represents balance and harmony in the universe—similar to yin and yang—showing the unity of opposites and the cyclical flow of life. These fans have been used in Korean culture for centuries in dance, art, and everyday life, carrying both aesthetic and spiritual meaning.
Model Details
- The fan face features a clean, bold taegeuk swirl in red, blue, and yellow.
- The handle is designed with a subtle wood grain texture to replicate a traditional carved look.
- For printing, the handle is split into two parts to preserve surface detail—assemble by gluing the handle together after removing supports.
- I am also working on a thinner, lighter version for easier handling and display.
- More designs included, inspired by other tradional fan designs.
This piece is perfect for cultural displays, costumes, or simply as a meaningful decorative print.
