Customising words
These STLs are not customisable beyond choosing words from the included plates. If printing from your phone, you can delete the coins you don't need from each plate, as everything is a separate object.
To make your own custom word sets, use my Bulk Coin Generator (MakerWorld OpenSCAD customiser – link here) with coin settings as follows:

  • Diameter: 32 mm
  • Thickness: 5 mm
  • Rim fillet: 0.8 mm
  • SA Beginner's font, size 10.

Notes:

  • Suggested ratio: 4–5 special coins per 20–25 word coins for 3 players.
  • Choose the coins that match the reading skills of the children playing. For more support for struggling learners, try sharing the job of sounding out the word or blending the word (depending on what support the learner needs).
  • Perfect for phonics groups, literacy rotations and at-home practice.
  • Coins fit in k-mart 4-in1 game (connect 4). Print sets with different middle band colours, and then you can use as tokens for connect 4.
