Description
This one is still a bit of a work in process and I'm currently testing the version I have released here.
You can view the CAD design at OnShape here: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/39962f0799cad99d0bdc1cc5/w/39e5515e12bfb3a33f24d4c0/e/7d96603ffc3375ec8c4ba4ee?renderMode=0&uiState=68dda1b3b0f8603e606a7506
The corner cutout is not required but recommended to give the desk leg a bit more clearance. However, if you are using the magnetic cable hiders you will need to make sure that your desk cannot go any lower than ~27.2 inches (measured to desktop). Going lower will cause the cable track to crash into the shelf.
I'm very open to ideas and collaboration on making this design better.
To assemble you will need some m3xh4 brass heat set inserts. These will be set into the “Left” and “Right” pieces. Then I used m3x6 screws to screw the 3 pieces into a whole shelf.
Lastly I used M6x1.0 8mm depth inserts which get placed into the bottom of all three pieces. These pass the threads that were on the underside of the desk to the bottom of the shelf so that the mini cable and power tray (https://desky.com/products/mini-cable-power-tray?variant=43643326988610) can mount to the bottom as is shown in photos.

I would also highly recommend getting a way to press these inserts straight in. If you're off by a bit the power rail doesn't fit and it can be a frustration to ruin 7+ hours or more of print time. On my X1C each 3rd of the shelf takes about 7-7.5 hours as this is a pretty large shelf.
