PREAMBLE

This is a remix of a well-known Laying Christmas Deer model by YEG 3D back from 2015:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1203313

As I'm a big fan of Low Poly models, I've decided to do a Low Poly remix of this gorgeous model.

Many brave souls have failed to print this one, again, again and again. Lots of filament is wasted into nothingness. This print will require a well-calibrated and tuned 3D printer.

To save you a headache, consider using the attached GCODE or 3MF file - it has all the correct settings.

This model can be mirrored so the deer looks the other way. In PrusaSlicer right click the model and on the list of options choose Mirror > Along Y axis.

SIZE

The attached GCODE/3MF is made to have correct size relatively to other low poly models in the same series: Holiday Christmas Deer - Low Poly and Youngster Christmas Deer - Low Poly
Feel free to size it up or down as you wish.
I strongly suggest sizing it up to fit your entire heat bed as it gives the best result.

SETTINGS

Filament: PLA+ (as pictured in the photo)
Print: 0.2mm
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Support: Not needed
Brim: Not needed
Infill: 5%

If you're so brave as to use STL instead of the GCODE/3MF, ensure to sink the model at least 1-1.5mm into the heat bed before you print it.

NOTES

Stringing - Yes, it's present. It's perfectly manageable and removable using a sharp scalpel and small scissors. Take your time and you'll be rewarded!

Happy Printing!
