40mm Bofors Cannon Shell Coin
Print Profile(1)

Description
I designed this “challenge coin” based on the 40mm Bofors Cannon ammo. I always thought the rim of the round looked like it would make a cool challenge coin, especially for the people who know the specific “KACHINK” sound it makes when firing. I printed this with gold and black to resemble the WW2 shells, but there are also steel casings so silver would look good too.
On the front is the primer side of the rim of the round. The other side has 2 versions. One is an AC-130 firing at an angle, the other has Aerial Gunner wings.
I'm still ironing out some print settings (pun intended), but the best version I could make (without a .02 nozzle) is to place the primer side face down on a Smooth PEI Plate. Feel free to experiment and see what works best for you. If you create a better version, please share it and repost it to this model. I also used PLA Silk for the base of the coin, so it shows a lot more artifacts.
