Double-Deep Rack System
Print Profile(1)

Description
The **Double-Deep Rack System** was primarily designed to allow two or more racks to be placed **one behind the other** to optimally utilize the depth of cabinets and rooms. It enables organized storage of filament spools and refills, with each unit remaining easily accessible. The rack system also supports the Gridfinity system, making it a versatile storage solution
The problem with a deep shelf is that filaments stored at the back are difficult to reach. The Double-Deep Rack System solves this problem by placing the filament spools or boxes onto a tray that can be easily slid within the rack system. The frame of the tray allows the storage units to be easily pulled out

The **Double-Deep Rack System** is characterized by the following features:
- Double Depth: The rack accommodates two spools one behind the other to efficiently utilize available storage space
- Modularity: The rack can be easily expanded as needed
- Versatility: Compatible with various spool and box sizes
- Gridfinity-compatible: The print profile includes a tray with a Gridfinity base, making it versatile
- No Screws: The racks are plugged together and secured laterally with simple, printed connectors
Dimensions
- The rack has outer dimensions of 242x228x90 mm (width x depth x tier height)
- The tray can hold boxes with a maximum size of 224x224x72 mm (including 2 mm clearance at the top)
- The tray for Gridfinity has a 5x5 grid

Connecting the Racks
Racks are simply stacked on top of each other. For lateral connection, the connectors (included in the print profile) are inserted into their designated pockets and disappear within the frame

Rear Stop for the Trays
To prevent the trays from sliding beyond the rear rack, two connectors are inserted into the designated (inner two) pockets. The connectors thus project from the frame and form a stop for the trays
