Description

These simple brackets will make am aftermarket radio fit tightly into the dash of a Ford Ranger. It was designed for a 1999 model, but I believe it should fit in any version between 1998 and 2009. The radio I'm using is a Sony AX5600, but it should work for many others. I think it works best for a double DIN unit, but you could slice off the bottom section to make it work for single DIN.

Don't attach the brackets to the radio before inserting it into the dash cover. You should set both brackets into the cover, and then slide the radio between them and screw it in place. This will make it fit very tightly and centered. Once the screws are loosely set, you can slide the radio forward and back before tightening them fully. There is some slight up and down adjustability afterward as well.
