Retractable Car Phone Holder

Improved the structure of the phone clip, making it more secure

Building on the first-generation car phone holder, I am releasing a new generation car phone holder with key improvements including:

1. Retractable holder, suitable for all phone models with a width less than 170mm, including horizontal phone mode and all foldable phones on the market
2. Achieves automatic rebound through its own weight, requiring no additional spring mechanism
3. Simplified the air vent blade fixing system, reducing it to 3 parts
4. Added a flocked surface to the universal joint, significantly increasing stability

Recommended to use PETG for printing, also compatible with PLA, ABS is not recommended

Assembly Process:

Gently break off the support structure at the end of the holder

Insert the connecting rod and push it into the fixing tenon, slide it back and forth to verify smooth movement

Place the rack into the base and push it to the top, then insert the two holders tightly against the lower side into the pivot shaft; it will be somewhat loose, which is normal

Push the back panel into the tenon at the top of the base, press firmly at the bottom to secure it in place; note: once fixed, it is difficult to open, so first ensure there are no burrs on the surface of each part, otherwise it will affect the automatic reset function

After confirming that the automatic reset function works correctly, screw the universal joint fixing knob in halfway

If the automatic reset function is not smooth, you need to open the back cover, pressing it together with the knob to prevent damage

If the automatic rebound function is unsatisfactory, you can use a flat hair tie for children to increase the rebound (not recommended)

Insert the air vent blade fixing clip into the threaded rod, then screw in a part of the universal joint ball head to check if the screw and nut fit

During installation, first remove the universal joint ball head, insert the threaded rod into the air vent to hook the blade, and adjust the fixing clip so it can clamp 2 blades

Screw in the universal joint ball head and tighten it

Snap the holder onto the ball head, adjust the direction, and tighten the fixing knob

When the holder is retracted, it can be used for most phones in portrait mode

When the holder is extended to its maximum length, it can be used for phones in landscape mode and for unfolded foldable screens
