Description

A simple and safe to use bagel slicer! The thing that distinguishes this bagel slicer from others is the addition of a handle on the side that keeps your fingers clear of the knife path, minimizing the risk of cuts.

There is also a hole in the bottom that channels crumbs to one spot for easy clean up.

Fits small and large bagels, up to about 120 mm in diameter (pretty big bagel).

For printing, I would recommend printing in PETG with minimum 3 walls so that it can be washed in hot water and holds up to the wear of the knife's edge.

Printed nicely in PETG, colour change half way through was in no way planned (just poor estimation of remaining grey!) but I think it looks good! Only problem is that the slot is far to wide for our bagels. The one in the photo is from Morrisons supermarket in the UK. I'll need to craft some shims or guide-rails to clip inside to keep the item central.

You can make it smaller in the slicer and print another one. Scaling it down to 80% should be pretty close...

The bagel slicer printed well and is very smooth. I like the handle in this design - very safe.

Just as described, I printed with 4 walls and it turned out excellent and quite solid too! I appreciate it very much! Thank you for helping me keep my kiddos fingers safe!
