Description

Certain Samsung side-by-side refrigerator models made around 2020 have an ice maker assembly (part# DA97-19010A) where the ice cube tray can crack and leak water.  Since the tray is emptied by a twisting/flexing motion, this is likely inevitable if you use the ice maker often. The tray isn't available by itself, so you must replace the entire assembly for around $200.  I modeled & iterated on this replacement rather than buying the assembly.

Works best in PA (nylon).  Do not use fiber-filled filaments, as they're too stiff.  Likewise: PLA, PETG, ABS, and ASA are too stiff / brittle. Printed OK on TPU 95A, but a little too flexible - it doesn't wholly hold its shape when filled with water.  Printed with 0.6mm nozzle, using 2 wall loops, 10% infill, a brim, on a textured PEI plate with PVA glue.  Dry the bejeezus out of the filament and go slow.

Please match model & part numbers carefully, as there are more common Samsung assemblies which aren't interchangeable.  Known compatible refrigerator models:
