This handwired, wireless build uses a Pro Micro nRF52840 (Nice!nano V2 clone), ZMK firmware, and repurposed 13×34 mm ~550 mAh vape cells.
A sandwich case with felt between plate and case plus thick 3D‑printed keycaps delivers a deep, thocky sound. STEP files are included.
- Wireless + wired: ZMK BLE wireless; USB wired works too
- Controller: Pro Micro nRF52840 (Nice!nano V2 clone)
- Battery: 13×34 mm ~550 mAh repurposed vape cells
- Sound: Felt-damped sandwich case + thick printed keycaps = THOCK
- Files: Full case/keycap 3MFs (print-ready) + per‑part STEPs
- Firmware: Prebuilt UF2s included for reference wiring; supports ZMK Studio
- Handwired: BOM excludes soldering tools/consumables by design
Build it for around €20 using the provided BOM. If you wire per the diagram, flash the included UF2s; if you change wiring or MCU, build your own ZMK.
