Stanley - The Big Grip Beer Stein Lid Remix
I came across this awesome design on Printables by Romankos Tyshchenko (@RomankosTyshch) and really loved the idea. The original used a metal rod as the hinge axis, which worked well, but I wanted something that was a bit simpler and fully 3D-printable.
So I remixed the design to use a snap-fit connection instead. The bracket has an inbuilt hole, and the lid has two small pegs that snap neatly into place. This means no extra hardware is needed — just print, snap together, and you’re ready to go.
I also rounded off the edges of the bracket, I found holding the original design became uncomfortable after long periods of time.
It makes assembly quicker, keeps everything fully plastic, and still holds up strong in use. Perfect if you want a clean, no-fuss build!
Take care when assembling, I found it easiest to rotate the bracket at 90 degrees onto the beer stein holder. Snaps securely without breaking.
